The Diary Game: Morning Market And Lending A Helping Hand(08-12-2025)

in Ladies Universe15 days ago

Earlier today, I was at the market to buy things. It was Itam market, one of the popular market in my state. I went out very early so I could meet up with people opening their bale and displaying their market that morning. That's when one gets to buy things at a very cheap rate and most retailers shop there during the early hours of the morning. I had made my list prior to this time so I only walked around the market making purchase. The last thing I bought before going home after spending about four hours in the market was onions, my customer sold one basket for me at a very affordable price.

I got home and alighted from the keke, paid the driver and took my things inside. I unpacked all the items I bought and arranged the ones meant for the shop so I will take it along while going to the shop. I took my bath and ate my breakfast of fufu and editan soup. I dressed up and went to the shop and when I got to the shop, I arranged the items I had bought from the market and sampled some outside. I stayed in the shop for about an hour before receiving a call from my colleague that she just gave birth.

Towards afternoon, my friend called and asked that I borrow him three hundred thousand naira so she could use it for his POS business. It's really hard to borrow people money these days and there's a policy I adopted which is to give people an amount of money I can easily forget about if they fail to pay but in this economy three hundred thousand naira is a huge sum of money but then, I remembered the many times she showed up for me in my difficult moments and I decided to lend her the money. I asked her to come to my shop for pickup because I had the cash at hand.

In the evening, I remembered of an event I am ministering on Friday but has not made oreoaretiom for any outfit. I left to my friend's shop and luckily, she had new Ankara materials so I picked the one I liked and gave her a simple bubu design to sew for me. My woman called price that almost made me faint and when she saw my reaction, she laughed and reduced the price for me and we were able to make an agreement on when I'll come for pickup.

I closed my shop at 7pm and went home where I took my bath, ate and went out to buy wine. I have been happy since morning and decided to seal it with celebration knowing too well that soon, the reason for the happiness will be manifested. I returned home with a bottle of Eva wine which I'm currently sipping as I'm writing my diary. I'm happy to be part of the @steemit family, God bless us all.
