The diary game: How my weekend went
Hello Steemians happy Sunday to you all, hope you all had a wonderful day?
My weekend was a mix of chores, appointments, and catching up with people, starting early on Saturday morning. I decided to be productive, so I soaked my clothes in while parboiling rice and beans on my gas cylinder. Multitasking like that always makes me feel like I’m winning the day, even though the house smelled like detergent and food at the same time.
I had a 9 a.m. appointment with my hairdresser, but I didn’t end up leaving home until 9:45 a.m. because that was when she finally reached out to me. The delay threw my timing off a bit, but I was determined to get my hair done. It turned out to be a long session. I only finished making my hair some minutes past 6 p.m., and by then it was already dark outside. I really wanted to take a picture to show off the new style, but the lighting was terrible, so I decided to wait.
Sunday morning came, and though I planned to go to church, I couldn’t make it. I woke up later than I expected and just didn’t have the energy to rush out. Instead, I used the quiet time to finally take a picture of my hair in proper daylight — it came out so much better than it would have the night before. I had my breakfast afterwards, still the remaining rice and beans that I made on Saturday.
By 2 p.m., I went to visit a friend. It was nice to gist and unwind after a busy Saturday. On my way back, I stopped at the market to get ingredients, because I was craving afang soup. I spent the evening cooking, and the kitchen was filled with that rich, leafy aroma I love. Afterwards, I sat down and ate the soup. It was the perfect way to end the weekend — full, satisfied, and ready for a new week.
Looking forward to having a beautiful week, just as I wish all my fellow Steemians a beautiful week ahead.
