💕💗 السلام علیکم to all Friends 💕💗!
Hi everyone, especially to our wonderful moderators and fellow Steemians!

I hope you are all good. And enjoying the beautiful moments of life. Today I am participating in this beautiful and interesting challenge “My Taste, My Culture Roots and Identity” which aims to present our culture and traditions to the world through food. Guys first of all I would like to thank you for this platform. The organizers for this challenge. Who gave us this opportunity to share our culture. Our memories and our traditional dishes with others. Food is not just for satisfying hunger. But it is also an expression of our emotions our memories and our traditions. As per this week’s theme. I have chosen a very special and traditional sweet dish of our culture Malik Seviyan. Which is usually made in our homes on the occasion of Eid. In this post I will share with you the importance of this dish. And my personal memories and its cultural aspects.

◉🥛🔥 Step 1: Boil the milk and add the Seviyan.◉

First of all I took a clean pot. And put fresh milk in it and put it on the stove. Then I turned on the flame on medium heat. So that the milk started heating slowly. I let the milk cook continuously and kept stirring it with a spoon in between. So that the milk does not stick to the bottom. When the milk got well heated and came to a boil. It started to smell beautiful. After that I carefully added the Seviyan to it and mixed it with a light hand. So that they get well incorporated into the milk and start to soften.

◉🍜🥛 Step 2: Cook the Seviyan in milk (my special method)◉

At this stage I would like to share an important point. Most people boil the Seviyan in separate water first. Drain them and then add them to the milk. But I do not use this method. I prefer to cook the Seviyan directly in the milk. As it makes them taste creamier and more delicious. When I put Seviyan to the boiling milk. I mixed them with a light hand. And let them cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes. During this time the Seviyan started to soften and mixed well with the milk. From a thick and fragrant mixture. Which is the real beauty of this dish.

◉🍯🥛 Step 3: Adding sugar and thickening the mixture◉

At this time I added sugar to the mixture of semolina and milk. I would like to clarify here the quantity of all the things I used. Is mentioned in the ingredients list above. Nut you can increase or decrease the sugar according to your taste. After adding the sugar I stirred the mixture well. So that the sugar dissolves completely. And the sweetness is uniform everywhere. After that I let it cook for about 5 to 10 more minutes on medium heat. During this time the milk gradually started to thicken. And the semolina also became completely soft. Which made a beautiful, creamy and fragrant mixture.

◉🥜🥛 Step 4: Adding dry fruits and completing the dish◉

Now I added dry fruits to make my Seviyan more delicious. First I washed the raisins well and soaked them in water. There for they softened and swelled and looked more beautiful. Similarly I also chopped the almonds into fine pieces. When I saw that the milk and Seviyan had become well combine. And the mixture had a beautiful consistency. I added all these dry fruits to it. After that I cooked it for another 2 to 3 minutes on low heat. So that everything mixed well. Then I turned off the stove. And took out the finished Seviyan in a beautiful white bowl and kept it cool. And finally enjoyed this delicious dish with my whole family.

◉What memories do you personally associate with it and the price of the ingredients in steem and local currency?◉

For me milky Seviyan is not just a sweet dish. But a part of the most beautiful and memorable childhood holidays of my life. This dish always takes me back to my home. And my mother's love and the joys of my family.

🏡 Childhood Memories:

I still remember those Eids very well. When a special aroma would spread in the house early in the morning. This aroma would come straight from the kitchen. Where my mother was preparing milk Seviyan. The whole house would be filled with a sweet aroma. And we would understand that today was Eid day. We siblings were very excited. We would wake up early. Get ready to wear new clothes. And repeatedly go to the kitchen to check if the Seviyan were ready or not. Every time we were told to “wait a little longer”. But that waiting also seemed to be part of the joy.

🍽️ Family Gathering:

When finally my mother would serve us hot milk Seviyan in a bowl. That moment would be the happiest for us. All of us siblings would sit together and eat laugh and wish each other a happy Eid. At that time there was an atmosphere in the house in which there was only happiness peace and love. There was no worry only family was together.

💕 Emotional Connection:

Guys this dish is not just food for me. It is a symbol of my mother's love. It includes her hard work. Her prayers and her love. Every time I eat it I remember the time. When I was little and the only happiness in the world for me was Eid day and milk porridge.

🌸 Present Feelings:

Even now when this dish is made. This same old memories come back. Guys I feel like I have gone back to my childhood. It reminds me that real happiness is not in money or things friends. But in spending time with my family.

Final Line:

Milk soya is not just a dessert for me. But a beautiful symbol of my culture. My memories and my mother's love.
