Beyond the eyes of the beholder, you are beautiful|| Diary Game 9th March 2026
How does your body speak to you when you’re tired or stressed?
Does your face break out in pimples? Do you feel limp and in pains?? Etc. It is very important to pick up on these subtle signs before your body is forced to auto shut down by itself.
In the meantime, happy international women’s day to every woman in this community. Beyond the eyes of the beholder, you are beautiful - know this and be content in it.
I have been jumping states like Dora the explorer and for a long while, it’s been okay, but this time, my body said no!
I had cause to travel interstate soke days before the weekend and even before I stepped out of my house, I knew I was bone weary, and not mentally coordinated but this trip was a necessary one so I strapped my boots and headed out anyways.
It was a hectic weeekend to say the least, as I moved from hours of meeting to planning my mum’s surprise birthday - yes my mum added a new age and I wasn’t missing it for anything - I and my siblings found a way to surprise her and make the celebrations worth it.

The stress was well worth it as my mum beaming with joy, surrounded by her friends was a sight to behold. By the time I was done with everything, my body had entered full auto shut down mode. By Sunday morning, there was no bone that was willing to answer me.
It meant one thing, I was sleeping through the morning.
By the time I woke up Sunday evening, I felt a bit refreshed. Once my mum saw I was awake, she asked I escort her to a farm to check some birds.
While coming back, we met a colleague of my mother’s who was selling pork meat. My mum told me that he comes to the market to defeat her birds by day, make some money and then use it to buy pork meat which he sells in the night. That kind of work is hard and I applauded the young man’s resilience.
That was why I got a few to support his business

They turned out soft, tasty and well spiced unlike others I’ve eaten.
From there we visited an elderly woman whose husband recently died.
The story goes that someone in my state government has been grabbing lands and then demolished this man’s land and his building that was already erected there without confirming if the site was supposed to be demolished. The husband heard it and his blood pressure spiked up while his wife was on a business trip out of state. By the time she returned, she was a widow. Upon further investigation, it was found out that the land wasn’t supposed to have been touched in the first place- but now a man’s life has gone in for it.
It was such a sad time, we encouraged the woman telling her to take heart.
As I left her compound I saw this thing. In ny dialect we call it mkparata - meaning yarm barns.
The last time I saw this was years ago in the village. It’s used to store yams in heaps when it’s harvested.
Another use of it is to prevent the yams from being spoilt or eaten into by ants or insects.

You can see yams stacked on it.
By the time we were done there, night had come and we headed home!!
