My Elder Sister's marriage introduction

Today Sunday, January 18, 2026 is my elder Sister's marriage introduction and I can hardly contain my excitement. Today is the day my dear elder sister, Inime will take the first step towards starting her new life with her beloved, Mr. Alphonsus Enoidem. The marriage introduction ceremony is just a few hours away, and our family members and invitees in the village have started coming to our compound.

I had arrived the village since yesterday, eager to lend a hand with the preparations. Our culture placed great importance on this occasion, and we want to make sure everything is perfect for our in-laws. The atmosphere is electric, with everyone pitching in to ensure a memorable day.

We are all at the kitchen, where the aroma of delicious food is wafting through the air, making my stomach growl with anticipation. We've been cooking since dawn, preparing a variety of traditional Ibibio dishes that will delight our guests. Afang soup with fufu, pounded yam, rice, and other mouth-watering delicacies were all on the menu.

My brothers have already slaughtered the goat which we are using for cook the afang soup, pounded yam and jollof rice. As I stirred the pot of Afang soup, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness for my sister. Inime had always been a shining star in our family, and it is wonderful to see her find her perfect match in Mr. Enoidem.

With just a few hours to go before the ceremony, the excitement is palpable. I'm taking this moment to capture some photos of our preparations, just to share them with my steemian friends and family for memories and documentation.
