Seeking for advice on my son's passion for football.

Good morning the good people of this great community, I hope you are doing greatly well? I extend my greetings to you all from Nigeria. I wish to use this medium to share my observations on my son's passion for football and also seek for your opinion and advice.

As a mother, it is heartwarming to see my child develop a passion for something, but I can't shake off the feeling that I need guidance on how to nurture this talent. My husband, being the busy person he is, is rarely around to offer advice or support. So, on this note, I decide to reach out to my good friends in this amazing community, who might have had similar experiences.

I know that ladies in this great steemit ecosystem are noble and some are not only fellow mothers but also a sports enthusiast. I know the men and women here are perfect people to offer me some valuable advice.

I can't count many days Princewill would be going to bed with his ball in his arms, I know boys do love football but this one is beyond the normal passion to a raw talent.

The issue is that he had started school, specifically in foundation one. He needs to continue in his educational journey, but combining academics with this his football talent at this age is what I'm seeking for advice. Please how should I go about this?

I'll appreciate your kind advice and contributions.

Thank you for reading my post, I appreciate your time.

Greetings ma'am, I must say that your son has found his purpose so early in life and this is something you should be proud of, and I'm glad you are and my advice to you though I'm not yet a mother is that you should play the role of mentoring him on how to balance his studies and is passion too. Because he needs to go to school to get knowledge and improve his life and he also need to perfect his passion and talent as well. So the ability for him to merge this together will make him not just a successful foot baller but an educated footballer as well because you would not love to see him as an illiterate player, he might not even play internationally because of language barriers and illiteracy.

You won't also be happy to see him give up on what he loves because that will break him and he might not even listen to you. So my dear sister try and give him good mentorship towards his life goals teach him the importance of both things and how to accomplish them without distractions.

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
