OCHANYA'S CASE: A WAKE UP CALL FOR PROTECTION OF THE GIRL CHILD

Pardon me for sharing this my friends but I hope this gets to someone that is about to make the same mistake this little girl I parents made some years back that is making headlines in the news again this month. I was scrolling through Facebook and I saw a very disturbing news that I had to follow up. I don't know how many people have heard or seen something like this in their timeline.

So, there is a story of a certain girl named Ochanya in Benue state who was in quest of going to have a good education left her parents house to his aunt's house (maternal) and there she faced so many abuse ranging from being maltreated to being gang-raped by her uncle and cousin. She was just 12 years of age by then according to reports and she was raped bother from the back and from the front.

I am in so much pains writing this and my heart bleeds seeing this. The most annoying katy of this issue is that the aunt saw and heard of this but she couldn't say anything. She did nothing to help her niece, she did nothing to save this poor girl who only came to just have a good education since her community did not have a good school.

She was gang-raped till her anus got torn and and V got torn as well. It's so sick, I don't know why such a gruesome act should be done to a little girl who only wished for a better education and to make the parents proud. They did this without thinking of the emotional damage they would be causing this little girl and it's so painful.

According to reports that I gathered, she was passing uncontrollable amount of stool from her anus and even an uncontrollable amount of urine from her V leading to her untimely death. I am literally shaking writing this. How could someone be this wicked? How did humanity get here?

With everything that I have gathered, the uncle and the cousin are still walking as a free man, oh! How come these guys haven't been brought to book? This is about 7 years and nothing has been done to bring these guys to book and yet, this promising young lady has been sent to her early grave in a very gruesome manner.

I am consoled that influencers in Nigeria and those in diospera are are beginning to speak up for this girl and demanding justice to be served. The man shouldn't even be lecturing again as a matter of fact. He isn't qualified to lecture anyone. I mean Ochanya needed quality education and since they couldn't give it to her, they abused her to the point of death, Oh, how humanity has lost touch of reality.

I am calling on every mother out there to make sure they know how their daughters are fairing, be so intentional about your girl child that you will be able to detect when they are worried and throw in yourself. Do not let them visit anyone you aren't comfortable with. Ochanya's case is a wake up call to remind the world that the girl child is an endangered specie.

If you are a man out there, please develop self-control, hold yourself together and please stay away from minor, you many never know the emotional damage you have created in lives of people till they open up to you. Let me drop my phone now, I just can't continue anymore, tears is just running down my cheeks. Please stay safe out there my beloved GIRL CHILD.
