The experience I had during my first menstruation,(1-2-2026).

Hello steemmate, my name is Purity Okon but my user name on steemit is @ purityy, I stated seeing my period at a very younger age which I didn't even expect it will happened at that age, when I started seeing my menstrual flow most of my older cousins didn't see Thiers, I was the first person and the one that open the way for them. The experience and the date is something I won't forget till date, it was on one Thursday morning, thank God It didn't happened while I was in school because I was a boarder.

Thankfully school was on one week strike, so I went home that season, almost closed to the week I will be going back to school during that week, it was on a Thursday morning, mine started with no pains, no sign, nothing nothing, I just wake up that morning I went to pee and I saw a stained of blood on my pants, at first I was scared and wondering why they will be blood stained on my pants, I didn't tell anyone, I just rush inside and change my pants Wash the previous one I wore, my mind didn't even take me to remember that I am a woman and it might me my menstrual flow.

I wore another pants and was still scared praying the blood should not come out again, I wish there was someone who sat me down and educate me about menstruation and how it was and everything I needed to know about it, the new pants i wore got stained too and I changed it again, the third time I had to call my one cousin and tell her that I wake up that morning and saw blood stained she too didn't know what was that and what it means but we were hiding it from my aunt and my elder sister because I was staying with my aunty then.

She was even afraid that I cut my body while riding bicycle the previous day, I was just changing pant till evening, I had to summon courage and tell my elder sister because I was ashamed and scared, when I told her that since morning blood had been coming out of my body, she asked if I have experience something like that before I told her No, she said is my monthly flow, I was shocked, and I asked her is this how it happened, no pains or any sign, she said I should calm down that with time I will understand and since it my first time, it might not be painful.

There was no sanitary pad at home and she was angry why I didn't talk early so she could buy pad during the day said, and I said nothing, so she gave me tissues to used that night, and she told my aunt about it too, I didn't know how to feel happy or scared because I was told when a girl start menstruating and a boy touched her she will be pregnant, I felt like a woman at that moment, all my cousins were looking up to me asking me how it feels and the experience, I just told them it a very exciting moment for me, the first time it was not painful and the blood was not much.

It was time to go back to school because the strike was called off my mom saw the remaining pad I used and bought another one for me, the second month I waited and didn't see my period I was scared, for three months I didn't see my period, but my mom was bringing pad to me every month in school, I will be using it to do Bonanza in school, giving everyone, I was seeing my period once in three months that first year, I was kinda happy though, that I won't be seeing blood every month, but the second year it changed I started menstruating every month and it was so painful. Though it makes me feel like a woman but the pains no be here, and thank God my first day didn't happened in school I don't know what I would have done it happened.
