As we all know, the way you appear is the way people will regard you. That’s why they say looking good is a good business. This time, I decided to try something different by fixing dreadlocks for the first time.

Honestly, it looked pretty good, but the major challenge was that the stylist didn’t give me exactly what I wanted. The hair was very painful at the beginning, and I’m only managing to carry it now because of the money involved. Truth be told, I won’t keep it for a long time.

The dread itself was quite expensive — ₦9,000. Making of the hair cost ₦3,000, while fixing of nails and lashes was ₦1,500, bringing the total to ₦13,500.

This experience taught me a serious lesson. I won’t be going back to that shop again because I didn’t get exactly what I asked for. Sometimes, experience truly is the best teacher.
