🌴 A Day in the Village
Just about 24 hours ago, I visited one of the villages in Uyo. It was such a refreshing experience because I went straight to the river bank. My friend and I watched how sand was being pumped out from the river using machines. It was amazing to see how nature and technology blend together.
After spending some time there, we went to inspect his land. When we were done, we began heading back to the city of Uyo.
🥥 Sweet Coconut Moment
On our way back, I sighted some fresh coconuts by the roadside. As we got closer, I saw the seller and quickly branched in to sip some fresh coconut water. Believe me, it was so sweet! After walking under the hot sun, that cold coconut water felt like a blessing. I bought some to take home—including a bunch of bananas.
👴 A Touching Encounter
We later branched at his uncle’s place. It was my first time meeting him, and although he was happy to see me, his story touched my heart deeply. He had lost almost everything because of a bad marriage. Despite the challenges he faced, I thanked God for his life. He looked really tattered, and I honestly felt for him. We didn’t leave him empty-handed we bought some food items for him before leaving.
😊 A Sweet Surprise
As we continued our journey, guess what happened? I saw one of my neighbors who recently packed out. I didn’t know her new location, so seeing her was such a surprise!
She was the one who shouted my name, and I was shocked but excited. I rushed to hug her. Seeing her doing well in her new environment made me very happy.
After that, I didn’t stop anywhere again. I went straight home because the day’s activities had exhausted me.
