The Diary Game: 9th May, 2026. Enjoying My Weekend And My Friday Runs

I woke up yesterday with so much joy knowing it's weekend. I'll finally be free from the weekdays stress and all. I started my day with fruits for breakfast. I bought apples, pineapple and banana from a road side be vendor and I made fruit salad.

^Fruits

After the quick meal, I went to buy yam for brunch. I got to the mallam's place, where usually buy yam from but he was out of stock. He directed me to another place to get it. It was quite a distance from my house but I was determined to satisfy my carving. The path was untarred, long and lonely, but I kept going with the hope of getting what I wanted. I finally got to the shop, bought the yams and headed home.

Immediately I got home, I went to have my bath. After which I started preparing brunch. I sliced the yam and boiled it. While the yam was cooking, I washed and whisk the eggs I'll be using for the egg sauce. In no time, the yam was ready and I began making the egg sauce. The armor was everywhere and I couldn't just wait to have the meal. After preparing the mouthwatering meal, I sat to a plate and ate to my fill.

^Brunch

After meal, I got dressed and went to visit my friend. We've not been in touched for over a month now. I was really looking forward to seeing her. We had a lot of things to discuss. It's always a different vibe when I'm around her. I got to her place and we were very excited to see each other. The warm hug was everything. After talking for a while, she gave me snacks and we ate together. She offered food but I wouldn't eat because I was already filled.

I stayed at her place till 6pm before I headed home. It was getting really late and was about to rain. We bid each other goodbye and I left to the house. Unfortunately, the rain got up with me. I got home, drained in the rain.

When I got home, I had my bath, changed up and had dinner. I took a very hot tea and bread for dinner. After eating, I laid quietly on my bed and saw a movie. A very fulfilling Friday. I hope you enjoyed it. See you in my next post.
