Tell your story#74: Rest at grandma's house

Today I wanted to share my time this week. It is very busy week just about a week ago we had a short holiday and together with my friends we decided to spend just few days in country side. While being in city and we most of the time in the building, because it is time for study, library and just chats with friends. We often like to gather evenings together. I think it is the case because it is cold and rainy outside that is why we feel better inside in warm place.
Luckily, during this time we had few nice days actually it immediately reminded me spring, once it is clear blue sky it is noticeable that the days are longer and there is only way forward.
After such time me and my friend, Anne decided to visit her grandmother, after she lost her husband she felt lonely that is why Anne was visiting her time to time. This time she invited me and also told me that her grandmother will be very happy.
We have rented a car and drove to Dorset, that is a little town in South England. It was fun to have this trip, we had Radio on because we could not decide what music we should listen, with Radio we did not need to decide but just to accept what will be there.
By the evening hours we arrive and it was a surprise for Anne’s granny, it was really nice to be at the door and knock on it. Anne’s grandma asked loudly who is there?. When her heard that this is her grand-daughter she could not believe, but once the door opened she was so happy!
I felt really good in this house, it was small but cosy and it smells nice food. Actually Anne’s mother decided to do some pancakes for us too on the top of supper.
The pancakes were served with Marple syrup, I never tried it before but it was absolutely delicious!
We stayed awake for late in the evening, we watched “Gone with the Wind” my friend’s granny’s favourite movie and then we had great sleep. These few days were absolutely amazing, I really enjoyed it and felt myself fully recharged for a big city. Anne’s granny also looked very happy and we promised to come back in summer for few days. I am already excited to visit her again.

My condolences to your friend's granny. You both did so well by visiting and cheering her up in her period if grief. This of so kind of you both.
