It was really wonderful to be there! I didn't actually overnight hike while I was there (we didn't have enough time unfortunately), we stayed in a hostel in Mammoth Lakes, but Yosemite is really best explored with backpacking trips. A lot of the park is only accessible by hiking trails and you can see much more that way.
