What I thought the theme of "Let It Go" by Kristan Anderson Lopez

The theme of “Let It Go” by Kristan Anderson Lopez is that with great power come great responsibility. For example, in the song reads, “Don’t let them in, don’t let them see.” These lines suggest that she is not taking the responsibility of her frozen powers, but she is shutting people out and not letting others see what she can do so she doesn’t need to feel like an outcast. A second example hinting that Elsa is not willing to take the responsibility for her powers is when she sings, “conceal, don't feel, don't let them know.” This proves that Elsa intentionally was hiding her powers through the word choice, conceal. The connotation of the word suggests that she intentionally is hiding something. Just think of the makeup, concealer, it is used to hide something like a pimple, something we are ashamed of. Not only is Elsa not taking the responsibility for her powers, but she is also ashamed and hiding those powers.
