Answer: What is the libertarian take on the federal government running a direct-to-consumer drug platform such as TrumpRx?

The name of the website gives away the creator’s intention: as another monument to a malignant narcissist egomaniac who believes he is the center of the universe. As atrocious as the ACA was, Obama at least didn’t have the imprudence to name the website after himself and the colloquial name “Obamacare” originated from his opposition. The most obvious and predictable outcome of TrumpRx is that, at least under Trump, it will be used as a de facto whitelist for Pharma companies that at the very least pay lip service to his agenda and donate to the candidates he endorses while excluding those who don’t feed his ego. Do government websites meaningfully reduce drug prices or any prices for that matter? If you think that is the goal here, you have missed the forest for the trees.
