Bernie Sanders is an arrogant jerk that doesn't understand his own philosophy.
Bernie Sanders is arrogant and refuses to explain his philosophy when questioned under a centuries old method championed by Socrates.
It's pretty simple logic to follow Bernie. Does government derive its power from the rights of the people it represents? (according to Sanders, yes) If so, do any of the individual people have the right to initiate physical force against any other individual (according to Sanders, no). Does the government have the right to initiate physical force against individuals (according to Sanders, yes).
Then it follows that if the government derives it's powers from the people, and the people do not have the right to initiate physical force against anyone else, how can the people have delegated a right to the government that the people themselves do not possess?Sanders arrogantly refuses to answer the simple questions, and leaves us with the only conclusion one can gather about his philosophy, namely, that "Governments (or more accurately, the individuals that make up the governments) possess rights that are superior to the rights of the people they govern."I find that to be a disgusting philosophy at its foundation.
