Is the glass half empty or half full? There are actually 6 answers not just 2steemCreated with Sketch.

We all know the half empty vs. half full argument but the answers can be far more diverse than most people think.

Answer No.3

It’s a relatively well known joke that for engineers the glass is neither half full nor half empty, it is simply twice as big as it needs to be big for its content.
Most people think this is just a joke but it is actually a decent approximation of reality. You see many years ago before they went to primary school kids had a mandatory psychological evaluation. And the evaluator asked one kid ‘What is the glass like in relation to the amount of water that is inside?’. He hasn’t yet heard this question before (hey, this was before the internet spread…) so he did his best to answer… “it is simply twice as big as it needs to be for its content.”
The evaluator looks at him weirdly: “Boy, you have to answer truthfully not with preprepared answers.”
Really… a child of 5 or 6 having preprepared answers… really?
Anyway, 15 years later as he became an engineer his answer suddenly made sense. You see, there is a lot of truth in common jokes ;)
(ok, anecdotal stories don't confirm it, but hang out with engineers and you'll see it for yourself)

Who cares! I can’t get to the water anyway, it’s reserved for the rich!
The best that can happen to me is that i’ll get to wash the dirty empty glass...

Like the cat on the above picture these people would get the water if they only worked for it persistently.
After all, the stupid human will eventually figure out the cat is thirsty if it just keeps hissing for long enough :D

Answer 5

We had an engineer's answer, now here’s a physicist's answer:

Answer 6

“Someone made a hole in my glass!”

The people who always blame others for their lack of success… Steemit is full of them, well most are leaving the ship now ;)

Answer 7

And then there are people who turn the lack of water to their advantage:

Now i wonder what the physicist and engineer would have to say about this...

If I'll work hard I can make it full )

For me the glass is always half full. There is a lot of negativity in the world today, people are busy, distracted and conflicted.

People feel guilty they do not have more time for family or health or whatever. This crazy new age Y2K modern world pulls people in some many different directions at once ! ! !

Thus you must find positive things for your mental health, seek out positive upbeat information. I like Steemit because people speak from the heart they try and be upbeat.

Simply it is bad for people to get sucked into the negativity of " the glass being half empty ". People will have a much harder time dealing with all the crud in this modern world if they do not try and avoid negativity.

The glass is always half full and if people always see situations in a negative way then it is best if your try and limit your exposure to their pessimism . . .

Successful people try and hang around positive people ! ! !

If you proved anything, nothing is Black and White.
