In the metropolitan region of Santiago de Chile, between the limits of the communes of La Reina and Los Condes, there is an 3620 hectares park called Aguas de Ramón Natural Park, where hiking, outdoor life and birdwatching make an appointment to enjoy the endemic fauna and flora that this place has to offer.
The how to get there is quite simple, You have access by public transport, you can use the buses of zone D (D18 and D08) get off at the Plaza de La Reina and warm up the muscles with a short walk of 25 min. by Onofre Jarpa Avenue to the entrance of the park.
There is also the metro option, Prince of Wales station, take the micro 412 to the Prince of Wales intersection with Valenzuela Llanos, and again on foot to the end of the street.
If yours is your own vehicle you can access directly through the avenues Álvaro Casanova and Onofre Jarpa and leave your car in the parking lot or parking lot of the park.

Trekking Santiago
Canto de Agua: short route of 30min approx. and low difficulty.
Paleontological route: the thing will be made here with a walk of low-medium difficulty and 3.7km. of travel to know the paleontological fauna of Chile, like the Stegomastodon prehistoric animal Gonfoterio whose remains were found in this path.
The Peumos: 4 hours of hiking for 6.5km and a medium difficulty perfect for lovers of hiking, and if you feel like camping you can take a night trekking tour of the place, of course, you must respect the rules of the park doing the camping in the company of an environmental monitor and in the places determined by it.
Salto de Apoquindo: This trail houses the cherry of the Aguas de Ramón Park, its waterfall of 30 mtrs. of height waits for you after a quite strong route, reason why it is recommended to have some physical condition before getting into it.
The extension of 17.5km will take you about 7 hours to complete, here you can also camp if you are prepared, just remember to enter no later than 9am so that park guards allow you to reach the waterfall.
Entrance Fee for the Aguas de Ramón park
The general public must pay $ 2,000 while children under 12 and old (60 years) must pay 1000 pesos.
Recommendations: have supplies such as water and food, climbing sticks, trekking or climbing shoes, hats and sunglasses, swimsuit, sunscreen.
