How I Respond to Someone Else's Ego is a Reflection of How I Respond to My Own

Been noticing lots of judgment and discomfort within myself toward others with different beliefs/ ways of living.


I recognize it's a bigger reflection of how hard and judgmental I am toward myself and the way I choose to try and exist within the world. I say "try" because, ironically, I don't feel like BEING is ever enough and that I have to DO something in order to exist properly, as if that's even a thing.

Anyways, I've been noticing a pattern in myself of vocalizing my frustration and annoyance with others' habits and belief systems and what's arising from these rants is guilt. Guilt because I know deep down it has nothing to do with who they are and everything to do with how I respond to my own innocence. The way we treat anyone's ego is a reflection of how much space we unconsciously make for our own innocence.


I don't have any answers as to how to "fix" this, but that's also kind of the point of this post. You don't need to have any answers, you don't have to fix yourself in order to be any different or better because that's not how it works. You're not the thoughts you have about yourself, let alone others.

Your ability to feel and think across a spectrum of loving and generous thoughts to a spectrum of annoyed and uncomfortable thoughts doesn't make you a bad person. It makes you human.
