I know "rap instrumentals" sounds like an oxymoron, but there is such a thing and its one of the most delicious genres, in my highly opinionated opinion.
Beats on beats on beats.
Btw, have you ever considered that sample based beats are technically sound collages?
I like collages.
And beats.
