A New Toy For The Big Boy - Get my Mavic Air Drone today
Do you know this feeling?
It is a bit like Xmas, Birthday and a wonderful result with a math exam alltogther in one day.
Yes, I got one. On Saturday morning I grabed my little boy and we did a trip to a local shop to get the Drone, which we where dreaming off since so many month.
A brand new toy
for the BIG old boy!
Why I was waiting so long.
Together with some friends I was already on drones since the Phantom was out. But this nice but HUGE aircraft was always to big for all my travel.
This one has all together:
- Small form factor to fit into my backpack
- Brilliant 4k video recording
- All safety sensors to have a safe flight
- 20 to 25 minute flight time
- 3 battery packeges brings me to nearly a hour of flighttime
- Tons of feature to create cool video
- Much more...
Unpacking with a liitle helper
Direct after we left the shop where I spend a lot of the SBD I earned last year, my little helper gave directions to drive home as fast as possible to unpack the Mavic Air

After several minutes, some downloads and leaving my email with a new portal, I was guided through the new app with a lot of information.

Damn have to wait for tomorrow for the first flight
During the evening I spend some time to study the latest updates to the laws for flying a drone in Europe. So I odered my "Numberplate", had a look for the best "drone insurance" and as well to get a "flying licence" to be legal with that Mavic Air Drone in the air in Europe.

I struggle a bit with Resolve and Premiere is as well a bit to much for me.

I'm using Premiere Elements but would love to upgrade to Pro BUT Resolve looks interesting but very overwhelming though.
How exactly are you struggling with premiere?
If you use a mac, you can always use final cut, or even iMovie. I movie is a lot more basic to edit, but for start it's quite fine. Final cut pro in the other hand is more advanced altho still very simmilar to imovie in it's core.
But if you are using Windows, then You can check out hit film.
But Premiere elements look pretty ok too, altho haven't used it.
I use Premiere Pro and would suggest to study it. It is a very powerfull tool for everybody. It isn't that hard to wrap your head around it.

I really want a drone as well. And that one looks like it could be a good choice with 4K video. If it is fairly silent in flight then it would be a real winner.
I’d be using mine for wildlife photography/ video. I imagine flying over water would be a little risky but that is mostly what I would be doing.
I bought this for my next trip to #Indonesia
Now I have some month to figure out all the functions.
I sold only a few SBD as the exchange rate was so high some month ago. All other I reinvest in my SteemPower

But this is fun and shows the world from many different angles.
