How to Be Free in a World That Is Not [VIDEO]

What if I told you that the world’s going mad…

From Hong Kong to Lebanon to Ecuador, it seems like people all over the map are enduring economic, political, and social upheaval.

Meanwhile the “new-agers” declare we’re entering the so-called Age of Aquarius. This is supposedly when humanity will experience increased spiritual awareness and revelations of truth.

Well, we’re definitely witnessing more individuals waking up, from the information highway called the internet to the liberating power of cryptocurrency, many of us can feel a shift happening…

Of course, the hardcore “skeptics” usually find a way to blame the CIA, with some suggesting the corrupt intelligence agency has had their evil hands all over the protests in Hong Kong. I can’t blame them for their cynicism: we’ve all heard about the CIA’s dirty dealings worldwide, so that very well may be the case.

What I do know for certain is that many of Hong Kong’s people are my kind of people… freedom-oriented, liberty-loving, peaceful people who stand up for what they believe in.

Some are even calling for a “right to bear arms” inspired by America’s Second Amendment, but the underlying question is… should anyone need to “demand” rights? And from whom?

No, each person already has the right to defend himself---it’s the belief in government authority that jeopardizes your natural rights to begin with.

I explore all of this and break down our modern cultural crisis in my recent walk and talk vlog from Bas Vent, Guadeloupe.

So are we escaping the Matrix… or am I crazy?

For all the chaos being reported by the fake news, I will always be reminded of the large pockets of progress and innovation all over the world.

While the media has an undeniable incentive to highlight violence and instability, being on the beautiful beach in Guadeloupe couldn’t have been more peaceful.

This got me thinking about various ways to be liberated from the establishment’s clutches. Cash money isn’t everything---consider any assets you have. For example, if you own a home, you could sell it and use the capital to move to Guadeloupe!

Some may say it sounds crazy, and you can make your own decisions, these are just my thoughts---but you could even put most of what your house is worth now into precious metals, then maybe 20% into crypto, and you’d have an awfully good chance of doing very well.

interesting...

For example, if you own a home, you could sell it and use the capital to move to Guadeloupe!

Sell my home? Are you out of your fucking mind? So long as the proper pay offs are made to the municipal mafia, other than upkeep, my lodgings are free. Add to that an upstairs apartment and it gives me an income. Once we get the garden finished out back it will allow me a place to produce food to eat. In my provence I have free medical. There is no telling how many millions my cancer surgery of 6 years ago would have cost me in another jurisdiction. Certainly enough to cost me my home that is owned and paid for. My home is my freedom.

You turned me on to STEEM Jeff. You turned me on to a gold stock that shot up faster than July 4th fireworks. But sell my home??? You've been out in the sun too long! 🤓

Love ya, you crazy libertarian! ✌️

[Edit : Did not consider my two types of grape vines, two cherry trees and raspberry bush as food as it is normally donated to the local urban bird population,]

I agree with you but smart thing is to lock in a 10 year assumable morgage for next to nothing on your home taking out ALL the equity So when the realestate market crashes and it will YOU won't lose all the value, still have your home and have very low payments.

But if your on the West Coast I would sell and get away from the Coast and the Cascade Mountains....

The BIG ONE is over 150yrs over do.

We are on the East Coast jutting out into Atlantic Time in Nova Scotia.

I am thinking of moving to Australia

Watch out for sharks and Fukushima radiation. 😎

More and more censorship and less and less freedom. Are we escaping the matrix or plunging more deeply into it? Necessarily, as time move forward and technologies develop even more, the matrix will become more pronounced and it will seem more real. That's may be what is happening now. We're so deep into the development of the thing that it's actually indistinguishable from reality now. The "age of Aquarius" is just another created illusion.

From what I observe people are deeply deluded, drunk and uneducated. There is a distinctly anti-intellectual zeitgeist among the proletariat which comes along with a furious loyalty to celebrities and a mad desire for personal happiness above all else(see: anti-depressant medication sales). People remain infantile even into old age and cannot even have polite conversations with people with whom they disagree.

The stages of life which are described by Kierkegaard provide a better predictive model for behavior and offer better therapeutic insights than Freud's model of the psyche. In Kierkegaard's time, he observed almost all men and women achieving all three spheres of life, but in today's time almost all men and women remain in the first sphere. Considerations about what is ethical are left to the State and religion is often equated with insanity in psychiatric circles.

Being held back to the first sphere, being infantile and uneducated is ignoble. Today's elderly have little to be proud of. Not since Dewey and James have contributions been made to American Philosophy; that's over 70 years. Add to that the polluted, war-torn state of this world and I really have nothing nice to say to the previous generation. Your music sucks, too. Music is the Dionysian epitome, the exemplar of the first sphere is the arrogant audiophile.
