Steemfat 3 - Attempt six is officially underway - Grilled Chicken breast with sweet potato mash and asparagus.
In about 2 months Bianca and I are going to Brazil.
It's been a long time coming.
I have not seen her family in over 2 years. (Bianca went alone last year).
When we booked it (in Dec 2017) I was afraid it might coincide with Steemfest 3, but now I expect Steemfest to be later than September so I feel less worried.
So instead of taking Steemfest 3 as my target to at-least try to get in shape I'll make it this Brazil trip.
It sort of makes sense.
The last time they saw me I must have been 25 kg lighter :)
I'm sticking with my plan that was working before we went to Mallorca.
Make sure there is something decent to eat in the house at any time.
Some prepared grilled chicken in a tupperware is part of that plan.
I bought around 12 breast (in bulk) today and prepared four that I will eat in the coming 3 days.
I sliced the chicken breast into thin pieces lengthwise and coated them in a nice rub.
When prepared it's easy to toss in a salad or on a whole grain wrap if you need some carbs.
Tonight I prepared it with some Asparagus, Sweet potato mash and a salad Bianca made.
It was nice.
Although I already can feel that it was not enough...
I will just have to get used to it :)
Going to the gym is easy for me and hopefully with better food i'll be seeing some results.
I'm not sure about about progress pictures this time though.
I pretty sure I'm bigger now than the the baseline photo of Steemfat 2...where I now think I look pretty decent!

Haha, last couple of days was holiday. I'll try my best.
That's true.
But it's easier to drink than to eat. Same goes for soda.
Once I started only drinking water and tea, I automatically lost weight.
Intermittent fasting is also a great method to lose weight.
You can still eat big meals but in a shorter time frame.
Great news, my friend, that you will go to Brazil and will be able to meet with relatives of Bianca, it is always great and most importantly you set yourself the goal of achieving a better physical form, where of course a balanced diet and a gym will do their thing. lol You were really tiny. I’m actually having chicken today as well. Asparagus and sweet potatoes are my favorite foot as well. It’s all very healthy. Along with healthy food it would be nice if crypto started to rise again. Let’s hope it will happen before the steemfest 3.

Steemfat is my journey to get in shape for a Steemfest.
I think portion control is one of the biggest things about losing weight. There are so many times that we eat more than we really need. It isn't until you cut back and you realize that "wow, that filled me up". Getting past that mental wall about what is actually enough can be a huge step.
Your food looks great and very healthy too. grilling is always better than frying when it comes to calories. Keep eating like that and combined with the gym work and less beers, am sure the weight will fall off pretty fast :)
I need to lose a bit myself but I mostly gained due to the office job. Since that is gone i am moving a bit more again and even in Summer there is more sports and going to the lake.
I hope we both lose the kilos we want. I only have about 7 to go maximum, you apparently have a heavier target :-)

Dinner looked like a good start. If you're still hungry how about grabbing some fat free yoghurt and loads of fruit after dinner.
I always found having sliced carrots and melon in the fridge made good little snacks and hard boiled eggs if I felt I needed something more substantial.
