Copyright is being weaponized to take down political opponents.

I was listening to Stefan Molyneux talk about copyright being weaponized and thought I'd share this with you:

I'm familiar with this because I've experienced it first hand. I used to be a recording artist until I started receiving copyright claims for infringing on my own content. The videos would get demonetized and I'd receive a notice. I even got locked out of my account which totally killed any momentum and made it impossible to share my work. I still produce original music videos from time to time...

.... but mostly moved on to creating gameplay music videos because the gaming industry is more friendly towards derivative works. Plus I get to help out game developers and composers whose art sometimes goes uncredited. Be prepared to deal with fake copyright claims guys. Since I started curating gaming music I would say about 90% of the claims are fake-- done by alphabet soup companies with botched algorithms and databases. One time I got a claim from a rapper who stole a song off of Donkey Kong Country 2. lmao.
