Brasileiros que não querem aprender inglês por que não tem um motivo forte por trás.

in #life7 years ago

So it's getting that time of the year we make resolution for the next year. Well, I never liked that so I'm starting now to get this blog back to active.

Yeah I know the title is in portuguese and this text is in english. It is to somewhat get some curiosity out of it.

I decide to do this entire blog in english from now on. I don't want to waste resource of time and energy translating good things to portuguese anymore and the reasons are:

1 - People don't care too much about it. If they did care enough, they would have learn to read english at the very least. Most of the information on the world are in english it is that important for me. Maybe not for you and thats why you never cared to learn. And this leads to my next reason.

2- Learning english is easy nowadays. You just need to have a good reason to carry you up there. My reason was when I was kid, I really liked a card game that was mostly in english and as I was learning some english at school (which is not enough to anyone to learn) I was motivated because of that game. If you don't have a strong reason to back up your motive, you simply don't move. That's the meaning of motivate. Motive + Move. You need to act and for that you need fuel.

3- I was writng many articles to post here in portuguese, but I wanted to help family and friends to earn something. So I asked them for review and feedback to help me post thoses knowledge with greater quality since it was the area of their expertise. None of the did it. So I kinda stopped doing post here. But I decide to be back. I don't want to make it super perfect anymore, I just want to use it as my personal blog while I post things I've learn and believe that could help people around.

4- When you really want it, you go look for it. That speaks for itself. You are here, you are looking for something good, and new. If not, you probably watching some TV. But the point is, I don't want to waste much time to people who doesn't want to move. The world is moving and my thought process before was lagging me behind. So I'm going to change that first, and when I get better, then I can try reach other people too who are less interessed or need more help in life.

5- I can reach more people around the world doing this in english.

Also, today I heard about a guy who wanted to get a job of his dreams, but he needed to learn english. He did learn on youtube for free in 4 months, just because he had a strong motive. He successfully got the job. Well done :)

If you don't have a strong motive to learn english, you probably don't care about many quality content and information around the world. The people I asked to join me with this, probably don't care too much either. I don't have anything against them, it just don't fit my style of life nowadays. If I didn't learned english, my life would be totally different, and I am grateful to know at least read and understand english, even tho I can't write or speak well.

That's pretty much what I wanted to share. Thoses are my personal thoughts about it.

If I don't help anyone with this blog, at least I am helping myself to get better at writing, and I hope to make good content to help people around the world.

Inegável que o inglês é uma língua importante para se aprender. Estudei por 5 anos e vi o diferencial que é saber uma outra língua. Mas entendo que temos muito ainda o que explorar em nossa rica língua portuguesa.

As a Brazilian I ever felt unconfortable with the english speakers who strong believed that everyone must know english wherever they visit. Most of them are sure that speaking english is almost an obligation to every civilized citizen :-) But now I think the same happens with us, living in a so large country, where portuguese can be understood from Oiapoque to Chuí, we got lazy and used to speak only one language. Some Brazilians even think that do not need to learn spanish, the language all the rest of the continent talks. Thanks, good luck and happy new year again!

aprender inglês não e tão fácil rsrs. Mas gostei da materia um abraço!
