Personality, to get to know someone more deeply
His easy personality psychology is studying psychology that studies one's personality ...
The purpose of us is to study personality psychology, of course so that we know the types of human personality So that we are able to understand other people,
Because whatever actions a person does certainly is influenced by his personality. In deciding to act or determine his choices.
When we understand the big picture of a human personality, we can classify that person's personality type. So we can also use it to draw conclusions about what he really thinks right now.
Now, how do we recognize that person's personality?
The meaning is sometimes still ambiguous in the minds of the people. There are several words that are still synonymous with personality. Even though their meaning is different from each other. for example,
Character is different from personality. Even though the Character is more a description of behavior that can be of good or bad value, it is right wrong.
Then character (Disposition), is a character that is very obvious from someone. Which has been owned for a long time and does not change. For example, the character of the child is angry.
Traits, is a response that we give to an event or situation that befalls us. The exact event and the same response means that it signifies our nature. For example, the essence of the person is easily offended.
Characteristics (Type-Attribute), this is similar to the nature but in stimulants (events or circumstances that make us respond) that are more limited, not in the broadest range of properties. Andi is a shy person when dealing with girls.
Habits, are actions that we do repeatedly from the same stimulants. Example Tono is always 5 minutes late at school.
Some examples of personality definitions:
Personality is:
Value as a social stimulus, the ability to present themselves impressively (Hilgard & Marquis)
A person's life as a whole, individual, unique, effort to achieve goals, ability to survive and open up, ability to gain experience (Stern)
Dynamic organization in a psychophysiological system that determines the model of adjustment that is unique to its environment (Allport)
Unique trait patterns from someone (Guilford)
All one's characteristics or the general nature of many people result in a permanent pattern in responding to a situation (Pervin)
A stable set of characteristics and tendencies that determine publicity and differences in psychological behavior (thinking, feeling, and movement) of a person in a long time and cannot be understood simply as a result of social pressure and biological pressure at that time (Mandy or Burt)
Institutions that regulate organs, from birth to death never stop being involved in changing functional activities (Murray)
The typical pattern of thoughts, feelings, and behavior that distinguishes people from one another and does not change across time and situation (Phares)
Well, it might be a little confusing. but the point is personality is something unique behavior of each person.
