STEAM ENGINE ─ A UNIQUE LOVE STORY [ULTIMATE INSPIRATION]

in #life7 years ago (edited)

In the era of early 1900s, a young gentleman hankers for a particular time and rushes to reach the railway station. He craves to see the arrival of the train at the station and gets captivated and allured by the looks of the engine. What a fascination but should it not look weird? One would definitely indulge in to ponder ─ why this charisma? An average aesthetical being cannot imagine a smokey black, dirty and ridiculously hot steam monster would be so appealing.

Days, months and years pass by, this temptation nowhere seeks an end.

One day, someone asked him, “Babu Ji, why are you so obsessed to see this freaky horrific beast?” He replied, “It seems, I have fallen in love with this creature.” “Why?” He was asked.

A Sufi is blessed with special instinct and with his unique sense of imagination, he draws ultimate life lessons from the things of everyday life, deemed otherwise unremarkable by a common man.

He personified the steam engine and revealed the following optimistic viewpoints.

1. SELFLESSNESS AND GENEROSITY

The engine suffers from the wrath of fire, keeps burning itself, respiring smoke and leading from the front to face all odds. Regardless of the whole chaos, it provides comfort to its followers.

2. PERSEVERANCE AND LEADERSHIP

It does not deviate from the master's plan and stays on the track. Not only does it keep itself in its own way, but also bounds others to stay organized.

3. HUMBLENESS AND JUSTICE

Despite having the pivotal role and ahead of all, it is so humble that it accompanies everyone along the journey. Neither does it impart preferential treatment to first class carriages nor does it look down upon the second and third class carriages.

4. FAITHFULNESS AND EFFICIENCY

He compared its peculiar performance with human nature and stated that contrary to the human attribute of being lazy and inactive after overeating, it works more efficiently upon receiving more food (fuel).

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE GENTLEMAN

He was Ghulam Mohyyuddin Gillani (Blessings upon him), son of eminent Sufi Saint of Islam Pir Mehr Ali Shah (Blessings upon him). Following is an excerpt from his biography:
"Famous as Babu Ji, he was a great Sufi saint, a scholar, and an eminent spiritual successor. He was very popular for his nature, i.e. a blend of love, affection, sincerity, purity, comfort, and humility. Being knowledgeable statesman, people of all walks of life came to Golra Sharif to pay respect to Babu Ji."
