Be realistic -- Plan for a miracle (aka. sometimes I feel like a turd)
Imagine a beach filled with 200 million swimmers. You're about to win a shark-infested open-water 2-mile race against those 200 million swimmers. In fact, you already have. You are the one winning sperm that fertilized the egg that created you. You're already a miracle.
Kinda new-age BS, right? I dunno, today I'm not feeling very optimistic. And perhaps it's these times that are best to remember the miracle of our creation. But what has life done for me recently?
Well, I died last night and was born again this morning. The sky is blue (cloudy today actually) and the trees are green. I can breathe unimpeded and can sit, stand and walk. I can think freely, and I am free... aside from massive academic debt-slavery. I hate student debt.
But I can be realistic today. So let's plan for a miracle... debt being wiped out, cryptocurrencies multiplying 1000x in value, life satisfaction increasing to euphoric highs. Living in Nosara, Costa Rica and surfing daily. How could I cope?
Sometimes I just feel like a turd. And trying to change that is not useful. The more I try to change it, the more I feel like a turd. So today I'm just embracing the turd-like feelings :)
What miracle are you planning?
