Get Out of Your Comfort Zone and Try New Things!
When I was younger I used to dislike motorcycles, I thought they were extremely dangerous, and I was afraid to get on one. This was until my boyfriend bought his first motorcycle in Augoust 2014, I thought he just lost his mind. I remember he was practicing near his house and then he told me: "Come on, let's go for a ride". We went to the highway, he was still a newbie and my legs were shaking; even though I was nervous, I thought: "Wait a minute, this guy knows what he's doing, he won't risk your life, you're wearing a helmet and he's not going fast, so you won't die today. Just relax and enjoy the ride."
It took me a couple of days to get used to this new vehicle; the motorcycle became our means of transportation to go everywhere. I didn't know how this was going to change our life for better. We used the subway and bus since we didn't have a car but now we have a motorcycle so we can go everywhere we want. We didn't have to depend on someone else to go to a place anymore.
Suddenly, I fell in love with the adrenaline, the speed, that sense of freedom you won't find anywhere else but on a motorcycle. I could see everything from another perspective. The mountains, the sky, the clouds, the sunsets, the buildings, the whole city, everything was more alive and I was entranced with the view.
In 2015, I thought "if my boyfriend can ride a motorcycle, why not me?" So I decided I wanted to learn to ride. Sometimes you just have to get out of your comfort zone and try new things, you never know if you can be good at something if you don't try. Nowadays I have my own moto, and I'm proud of myself for taking this new step in my life. Now I feel more confident and free. This is just the beginning of new adventours and ways to discover the world.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post.

Esto: "I want to challenge you today to get out of your comfort zone.." wao me hiciste el día!
Hey there Biker Mouse From Mars Woman, I'm Oatmeal Joey, and you are beautiful and pretty bad ass on that motorcycle. I love your photos. I'm from Oregon and was scared to teach English in Vietnam for 5 years but I decided to get out of my American comfort zone. So, bravery can be there in the mist of fear. And when we fear, we can be careful. And being afraid is ok sometimes, but it is just an emotion, generally. Ultimately, our lives can be better than we could ever imagine, but it takes some gut, some hard work, one step at a time.
Hey there Joey! Thank you! I agree! "being afraid is ok sometimes, but it is just an emotion.." We definitely have to try new things! Otherwise we won't know what we can do or how we can improve our lives in so many ways.. ;)
Agreed and we have to just take the first leap of faith and first step and we got to not think too much or over think and get our feet wet and our foot in the door and go and give things a try and laugh and smile at life and mistakes and bounce ack nd keep going with oatmeal haha.
You are too cool, love that you ride! Keep it up girl!
Thank you @kubbyelizabeth <3
