Happy Independence Day India, from an American friend !!!!!
I would like to wish all Indian fellow Steemers a very Happy Independence Day.
I have a colleague of mine who is of Indian origin and he happens to be my best buddy as well.
As far as I am concerned, I have a few Indian buddies and they all seem to be quite humble and very down to earth nice people. So would like to dedicate this post to them and wish them on their occasion of celebration. Hope they like it :-)
For the rest of us who are not exactly aware about all this I'll try to put down some details together:
Its this day of the year that is celebrated all over India.
You guys might be thinking why did I format the above text with that particular background.
Well its because that's how the Indian national flag looks like :)
The National Flag of India epitomizes its civilization and culture, heritage and freedom. The Indian national flag is a tricolor. It consists Saffron at the top, white in the middle and green at the bottom.
Saffron is the symbol of sacrifice and selflessness.
The white color in the middle stands for purity, truth and simplicity.
Green stands for youth and energy.
The Ashoka Chakra at the center symbolizes the never ending activities in the country for its progress.
Hope my Indian friends like my attempt to wish them the best on such a big occasion of their Independence Day.
And I truly hope and pray that the alliance between the two great nation remains strong and a well preserved one just like our friendship.
Happy Independence Day India......
Simply Great Information and Presentation
Happy independence day from a neighbour. Ours is 14 aug :) what special things do you do on your day?
It is hard to believe that other countries have independence days as well. We get caught up in our own and never take a moment to think that others have achieved the same feats as us.
thank you so much! that means so much coming from a person outside of india!! thanks :) :D
You are very welcome my friend :)

Happy independence day to all Indians.
