I think the hardest thing to do is to intently listen to another person ( see? - I even split an infinitive for emphasis!) It's that important. Am I there yet? Hell no, just ask my wife :)

@johnjgeddes, I totally agree. Most of the time, at best, I halfheartedly listen and have kind of mastered the whole "uh huh" and nod when my kids are talking to me and I'm super busy. That's not a good thing. I'm working on it.
