How to make someone smile- consider it to change someone's day
I've always been very shy at the time to develop confidence with someone, all of my friends are my friends because they have bothered to know me deeply, and considering that until now we've been together without troubles... that makes me smile. I'm an easygoing person if I see that you are worthy of being followed, if you're a constructive person, that take dissapointments, regret from others, sadness and bad experiences to gain knowledge, to grow up, to understand how to be a smart and cool person, those are the kind of people who I want by my side.
Depending on the personality of people, there are tastes that you can take advantage of to get a smile from anyone, from simple stuff to the most creative and complicated presents. Therefore making someone smile is easier than we think. let's take as an example someone who's relative has died, and once you find out about this, you go to the devastated person and want to say something to ease the pain.
Don't say a cliche like "everything's gonna be fine" or "it's ok, there there" or "c'mon, move on" this is not T.V and you're no robot. follow my steps
STEP ONE: That's an emotionally vulnerable person, people need comprehension and being away for a while from what's troubling them is not a solution, but is used to analize and think how the problem is going to be dealt with. Do this by taking a walk, going to lunch or to a quiet place.
STEP TWO: Buy some food, disserts, snacks, coffee, candies, whatever to relax him/her before talking, hunger is an important factor to satisfy and relax your mood. Nothing better than being on a quiet place with food and your mind clear. Who wouldn't be happy eating brownies, cake, pie or cookies?
STEP THREE: By following the example, remember that you need to make that person think clearly, so be careful with what you say. It's like giving a small speech: "It's ok to miss your grandma (for example) and being sad is just part of accepting this. Wherever she is, she wants you to stand up and be a great person, that studies, works, gets married if you want, and perhaps you don't achieve any of this, but one thing is certain, you need to enjoy life and this is your motivation... with your falls, with your friends, with disgraces and sorrows... don't stop being so young and push yourself to the finish line like she did, with no regrets."
STEP FOUR: hug that person and leave him/her somewhere safe and sound. That person should think about it and try to overcome and smile soon enough... most of times, but standing up to this things demonstrates how strong you can be or become.
Remember that people have feelings and these get dark easily if you know where to hit, going throught this is harder for ones, easier for other and time heals wounds, but not the scars.
See, this situations like break ups, deaths, faillures, etc... THEY WILL ALWAYS AFFECT YOU, but you'll rise above them when you comprehend that life was made for the lion... Be the lion.

@johntkd I've found that giving a smile to someone usually results in them smiling back. Always share a smile with someone! It's usually your best asset!
Oh, that's a good one jen, always works with me, and is very simple too. Have you eveer done that with a stranger and then he comes to talk to you?
@johntkd I have smiled at strangers before and have had them smile back. But, I don't think I had one come and chat me up other than saying "Hi, how are you?"
