Text Messages Sent On The Night False Missile Alarm Went Out

in #life6 years ago

Residents from Hawaii and vacationers spent 38 horrifying minutes prepping for ballistic missiles to hit and dead bodies to emerge.

Many sent their blessings and I love you's all while warning many others of the threat heading their way until the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency corrected a false alarm message.

I try to imagine myself receiving the message they received and I can't even picture what I would have done in that situation or who I would have contacted first.

At one point in my life I thought it best to walk and roam the world alone with no ties to anyone in order to avoid the feeling of pain and love. To not worry about anyone but myself and to live knowing the only person I can possibly hurt is myself.

After reading the messages sent from so many in those 38 minutes was touching and in reading them I felt the love that was being sent.

Down below is the link to the messages being sent from those who got the alert text. In a weird way I loved what I read. The amount of love being sent back and forth was nothing less than beautiful in such a sad way.

Check it out for yourself my friends...

fucked up situation, you got 38min to say goodbye to the world

be prepared for anything bad

Has anybody taken into concideration that the alarm was actually real? That there was really a missile launched towards Hawaii (or the US coast), but that it was intercepted.
In such a case there are 2 options: to tell the public it was a false alarm and pretend nothing happened, or to declare war on the country that launched the missile.
Lets say this country was China, or rogue elements in the chinese army/navy. That would be a good enough reason to keep things low profile.

This whale BS will kill STEEM imho

You never know what could happen. It reminds me of the story in the 80's, when a Russian man watching over the satellite system for any nuclear action got an alert that the US launched missiles towards Russia, so he could either deem it as a false alarm, or launch a signal to counter attack the US. Luckily he chose to follow his intuition that it was a mistake and it actually was a false alarm. Thank God because many of innocent people could have been killed that day. It is sad that we live in a world where we have to have this kind of fear. And obviously a reminder that technology is not perfect and can fail us all.

Good alert so far. Yeah i agree with you. Well said. Thanks for sharing with us. Be positive @joseph

This is one of those stories that are probably false but still worth sharing.

I'd probably tell off my boss or something

Sounds like a pretty sick social experiment to me.
