The Marble Caves in Chile - Discover the incredibly beautiful marble caves
There are places in this world that just make us wonder. Looking at it, one can hardly believe that Mother Nature created these phenomena and that they were not painted by a painter. Such a phenomenon is certainly the Marble Caves in Chile.
The unique marble caves are located on Lake General Carrera, a large lake bordering the South American countries of Chile and Argentina and three times the size of Lake Constance. The special shapes of the Marble Caves have been created over the last six millennia by the movement of the waves of the lake. These made sure that the caves are even navigable by boat. I'll give you a little taste of what you'll see in the Marble Caves in Chile with these great pictures:
The Marble Caves in Chile - A Natural Phenomenon
If you are traveling in the south of Chile, then you can make the excursion to the Marble Caves of Puerto Tranquilo. On the shores of the lake are numerous boats ready to take you to the caves in the middle of the lake. If you prefer to explore the marble caves on your own, rent a kayak. Would not it be cool if you paddled around here with the transparent kayak that I already introduced to you in my travel magazine? The water of the Lago General Carrera is perfect for such a kayak, because it is wonderfully turquoise and clear. No matter which vehicle you take - the main thing is that you enjoy the Marble Caves, which incidentally have been under strong conservation since 1944.
The aforementioned ice-cold, turquoise waters of the lake ensure that the caves appear in an even more contrasting and beautiful light. The walls of the cave, which are crossed by white marble and take on seemingly surreal shapes and colors, simply offer the viewer a breathtaking picture. I think the caves look like they were painted by Vincent van Gogh himself. The mostly small and manoeuvrable boats pass through the caves and corridors of the Marble Caves without any problems, and you will feel as if you are diving into another world. Good that there is Instagram, because that's how we can immerse ourselves in this world without booking a flight to Chile.
The Marble Caves in Chile are simply a feast for the eyes! If you have the opportunity, you should look at this natural phenomenon once in your life with your own eyes. You can read about other breathtaking natural phenomena in my other posts here on steemit.
