Living in a country in agony

in #life7 years ago (edited)

This is an account of a common day in my country, a country that is in decline due to multiple governmental and social factors, but that is an issue we will not touch on today.

Today I'll tell you about my day to day life, I'm a 22 year old student living alone in a small apartment in the center of town, I'm 4 blocks from the coast in a tourist town called Puerto La Cruz.Living centrally has its advantages, I save a lot on fares and I have many shops nearby, but the decadence is palpable in every sense, personally I have seen people eating from the rubbish, ordinary people with shoes and clothes nothing resembling the common homeless, people fighting for food and spending up to 20 hours in a queue to buy basic products.

I consider myself a very active person and sold fast food, repaired appliances, repair computers, repair smartphones!, I am a good salesman, I have always liked working and living on my own so I live alone since I am 19 years old, which is not so common in my country.

I am a college student and my dream is to be a software developer and it is becoming more and more difficult to maintain that horizon with so many daily problems work and study I earn little more than the minimum wage and I don't have too many bills to pay, even so what I earn is not enough to buy 1 packet of eggs a week and not to mention prime beef, chicken or its contours (rice, pasta, flour, etc.).

I've always thought that even though the situation is difficult you can look for a way out "In times of sadness the one who sells tissues becomes a millionaire", but the government of my country every day announces something that destabilizes whatever you do, so much so that people get upset every time they raise the minimum wage, it's crazy but everyone knows that if wages immediately raise the prices of everything.

Most of my friends and acquaintances have already left the countryand those who are not about to leave even my girlfriend I was with for 5 years decided to go looking for new opportunities, that makes it more difficult all leaves me almost without escaping from the routine which eats me up inside, I am impatient to graduate and undertake my course but every time I despair more and more nicotine does not calm me and separate the sub cigars.

Already I am getting used to this situation of decadence, people are broken and without hope they go through the streets like zombies living to live and that's it.

I need help, MY COUNTRY NEEDS HELP

Greetings
and good vibes for everyone
