RE: 7 Deadly Sins... Not So Deadly
The church and the state have teamed up to mislead and keep the public dumbed down and conditioned to not read the Bible. Instead, the ministers are taught to harass and harangue churchgoers and that behavior gets imitated and passed on to others in condemnation.
Not all Christians are like that, I see them as excessive human behaviors that if uncontrolled, lead to ruin, unhappiness, poor health, or violence. Each is always free to live their lives as they please, only your actions will always affect others. It can be a positive effect or a negative one.
Very well put, and I agree not all are like that, and it is good to believe in something. I'm just not sure to what end.
There is nothing wrong with having strong morals, in fact, this country was made into the world power it was intended to be through our strong moral character and dedication to ideals such as our duties to God, family, country, church, etc. However, beLIEfs are simply that, something that is passed down from parents to offspring, teachers to students, ministers to congregation. Somewhere down the line, and it's difficult to pinpoint exactly where, we stopped thinking for ourselves and began to let our incoming information slip into our minds without being filtered through the Trivium.
We listened and believed everything we were told from perceived "authority" figures because we had been taught that.
Our parents were reinforced in their beLIEfs by the sermons from the pulpit, telling them that they needed to hand over 10% of their earnings to the corporate church, meanwhile the state was robbing them with the other arm of the machine. They received the interpretation of the word from someone else instead of reading and studying it for themselves.
Certain behaviors cause problems for more than just the individual with the behavior.
The 7 deadly sins are a caution to men and women for how to conduct their affairs in society. For the 230 or so years we have been a country, we have concerned ourselves with nothing but ourselves and we have wrecked havoc across the Earth. Every action produces a reaction, both as individual people and as a group such as a "country." This is purely a hypothetical example but a scenario in which anyone can identify.
If a man lusts after another man's wife and acts on it, he is only thinking about himself and getting his pleasure on. Whether or not the woman reciprocates the attraction, the thoughts of manifesting that sexual encounter are already in motion.
The subconscious mind begins to go to work and that man may begin to ignore or neglect his own wife and kids which in turn cause more actions. The spurned wife will surely notice his change in behavior and seeds of doubt are then planted. Her subconscious mind begins to go to work also and she may possibly treat her kids indifferently or even badly.
What happens when the adulterous wife's husband finds out she is sleeping with another man?
Wrath? Ruin? A jealous and envious husband gets overcome with envy, which quickly turns to wrath and he goes on a murderous rampage, killing the two lustful lovers in the act. Now two families are ripped apart...all because of a lack of moral restraint and a husband that neglected to honor his wife and the commitment he made
