I don’t think you could’ve said anything better than Oh, given at how the apology came out of nowhere. You didn’t have time to prepare or think and it was probably just in the moment.

But having a dad like this is only granted to a gifted few, so I hope you cherish that. Some people would kill to have a father like yours.
