The World Is Consumed By What's Good For You To Eat...But Is Everyone Forgetting One Thing?
Is anyone confused as I am? As what is O.K to eat these days?
Well, if you are welcome to the camp! The amount of news articles, documentaries, youtube clips, instagram influencers, writers, specific diet fighters who are championing the next great super food are overwhelming. On the flip side you have the same again, claiming if you eat this you will be exposed to some hideous diseases that will ran sack your body into a perpetual state of suffering.
The headlines are laced with fear and sensationalism. It's no wonder that its hard to work out what is true and what is not. Then again even if you begin to try and read between the lines, you can't help but question he integrity who is writing or voicing the viewpoint.. are they backed by some big pharma company, is their whole livelihood dependant on a particular diet.
Then if you just quite the noise for a little bit.....and you come to realise that not just one food can damage you, not just one piece of meat, no berry is the cure to all diseases. The body is a complex organism and we are constructed, and effected by more than just one item of food. It is the culmination of everything we do and eat that effects what is deemed healthy for us.
More to the point, no one is living to 250 years old or has a dramatic extension of life as a result of all these ground breaking studies that show us "the only way".
So what can one do in this landscape which is overloaded with conflicting information on what to eat? Well like most of us...I sometimes hear my mother saying.
1. Everything in Moderation.
2. Follow how you feel.
I think these two simple thoughts maybe the answer to the "only way" forward.
Most importantly...we are all forgetting.... life is to be lived.
