What do you think about Bali "Indonesia"

hay steemian, today i want to post an article about indonesia and bali. for those of you who are not from Indonesia must be familiar with the provisions of Bali. Bali is usually known by the world's tourists for its extraordinary natural and cultural riches. "bali is A culture created all things that makes this island beautiful and unique."

Its religion maintain animism style of offerings crops and animal stock to God (indonesian called "banten") This makes balinese people have close connection with nature since plants is the main ingridients of religious ceremony. Beside plants for food, they grow ceremonial plants in the house such as fruit plants, flower plants and plants with multi coloured leaves.

Sadly with recent growing industry of tourism and urbanisation, this spirit become less and less. Ceremony material imported from other island. People lives in smaller housing with little space to grow anything. Nevertheless, you can see little glimps of balinese love toward nature, they tries to plant something even if there are little space in the garden.

Since there are no certain restriction on art form, traditional art flourished in Bali. Dance, carving, architechture, painting etc. In my opinion, balinese art is the flamboyant version of javanese art. Its originally came from java yet it have evolved into something different.

Balinese art always strive to be something more than its counterpart : more intricate, more colors, more application,more curve, more movement, more style etc...

Bali is safer than other place in indonesia. This is hard to explain. Back in the 80's and 90's, you leave your motorbike with key intact on the roadside, no one will steal it. While in java, robbers may unlock your fence to steal your motorbike inside the garage. In the past It may caused bay Balinese People genuinely scared by karmic retribution. Or maybe there are no pressing need to stole anything since everything is good on the island.

The culture and nature is what makes foreigner have different interest toward Bali since its very unique of indonesia. The dutch colonials decide not to changed it (unlike what they did in java and other part of indonesia). You will be hard pressed to find colonial style house complex in bali (one located in singaraja). After independence, government saw Bali has a great potential as money making tourism area. Thus came the infrastructure and other support system for bali. It makes bali more desirable as tourist destination.

Lots of people thinks bali famous because its beach. However indonesia have thousand virgin beach, better than what bali has. However no one wants to come to a virgin beach while worrying about their safety and their well beings. What make this island bali is its religion and its culture.

I think Bali has at least two faces. One of its faces shows us a picture of blue sea, nice beaches, palm trees and expensive or luxury hotels. Many tourists’ perception of Bali fits this picture and they are staying in their hotels for the most of their holiday, which can be relaxing and enjoyable, however they can miss something special.

The other face of Bali shows us a picture of green rice paddies, balinese tradition, religion, architecture and many other types of art. When we visited Bali we focused on discovering this face of the island. I collected my recommendations based on our personal experience and created a short slideshow of the best places in Bali.
