ARE YOU A CHOLERIC, A SANGUINE, A MELANCHOLY OR A PHLEGMATIC? WHAT'S YOUR TEMPERAMENT LIKE?

Hi steemians, today am going to share insight on Temperament and Character inspired by Pst. Sam Adayemi teachings.
We think, feel and behave differently depending on our temperament of personality type. Your Temperament is your inborn traits and the effect it has on the way you think, feel and behave.

THERE ARE FOUR BASIC TEMPERAMENT

1. THE CHOLERIC
2. THE SANGUINE
3. THE MELANCHOLY
4. PHLEGMATIC

Each temperament has the positive and negative side (that is strength and weakness) traits in them.

Lets start with the strength of each temperament

The Strength of A choleric
A choleric person is a goal oriented person, an achiever. A persistent person, the choleric people don't give up easily. Very disciplined in their dealings. They also decisive. They are pragmatic in thinking (very practical people). They like to deal with fact. They are very confident and adventurous. They are not afraid of taking risk. They always assume leadership where ever they find themselves.

The Strength of A SANGUINE
This are sociable and friendly. Thy are fantastic story tellers. They easily respond to people's emotions. They can easily cry with you when you cry and be very excited when you are happy. They are tender hearted, very compassionate. A sanguine is very optimistic about life, they are very enthusiastic. Fun lovers. Their major strength is the ability to enjoy the present. They don't really worry much about what didn't go right or the future for them the future will take care of itself.

THE STRENGTH OF THE MELANCHOLY
Psychologist said this is the richest of all the temperament in their estimate. They have very high IQ. A good chunk of the genius the world has ever produced have this temperament. They are Idealistic , creative, inventors. They are very analytical. A Melancholy Is dependable. They hardly make friends but when they do they don't change friends. They can do anything to make their friends fulfilled and happy.

THE STRENGTH OF THE PHLEGMATIC
This are the calm and easy going people. They don't like confrontation. You can be around them for 10year and not quarrel with them. They are dependable, very efficient, highly organized and good planners. They are very Humorous and diplomatic. Since they don't like confrontation they would prefer to negotiate their way out a situation. They are very good under pressure, while other temperament will crack up when under serious pressure the phleg will still be in control of their emotions and put up a very calm exterior.

Now that we know their strength we can go ahead to talk about their weaknesses but before we do that it is important we note that these weakness are not opportunity to give reasons for failure or to criticize ourselves but an opportunity to see those area where we need to work or improve on with the help of God. Most times we run away from our weakness because we have low self esteem and we don't overcome these weaknesses because we are avoiding the truth. The truth revealed may hurt a little but ultimately it heals.

WEAKNESS OF A CHOLERIC
The major challenge of a choleric person is hostility. They are hostile and cruel sometimes. A choleric man or woman can keep malice. They don't mind hurting someone when they are not happy with that person. They are not easily moved by peoples emotions. They express violent anger too. They are not afraid of any one so the tend to say very awful things to someone when expressing anger (costly comments). A choleric is strongly opinionated argumentative and controlling.

THE WEAKNESS OF A SANGUINE
A Sanguine has a week will, they lack discipline. As exciting as they can be they find it difficult to makeup their mind. When a sanguine talks they don't know when to stop. A sanguine need to know when to stop talking, eating, joking, etc they most time can't control their appetite in every aspect of life.
Because they like attention so much, they usually have a large ego (bride). The feel everything revolves round them alone.
A sanguine is inconsistent emotionally. One minute they are happy the next minute they are sad.
They always have the fear of disapproval (insecurity) they crave for approval because of this they have a weak conscience. In other to please people and get approval they stretch the truth (exaggerate) or bend the truth (lie).

THE WEAKNESS OF A MELANCHOLY
Remember the Melancholy is an Idealist but the fact is we don't live in a perfect world and we humans are imperfect but because they are perfect in their thinking they tend to be negative and pessimistic. He/she never measures up to her own standard.
They swing mood anytime. A melancholy can laugh his or her way in to depression.

THE WEAKNESS OF THE PHLEGMATIC
Lack of ambition and lack of derive. They are very low on risks taking and very calculative about life.
They are very stubborn: stubborn in a diplomatic way. Since they don't like confrontation, they will agree to what you say but still do their own thing.
They can be selfish because they don't go for big things the little they have they manage it very well.

Am phlegmatic. Knowing my temperament has helped me work on my weaknesses so my good potential can unleash and I think i understand and relate with my friends better because i know their temperament. @meemee is a Sanguine, @bait002 is Melancholy and @maduprecious is Melancholy too.
