Commercially Crocodile Cultivation in Welluka

Crocodile cultivation of amphibious reptiles on commercial basis in Mykoningshwa's Velukas has been for 12 years. Already produced crocodile leathers have been exported to different countries. Now the export of meat has announced the production company. All of them are said to have the bright prospects of exporting crocodiles, said the concerned people.
Crocodile farming and exporting the company named Reptiles Farm Limited in Hatibebra village of Uthura union under Bhuradoba-Sagardighi road, about 17 kilometers away from Bhaluka upazila headquarters.
According to sources, the Ministry of Environment and Forests approved the establishment of the farm on 5 May 2004 and with the approval of the CITES of international organizations, in December of that year, 15 men and 60 mother crocodiles were imported from Sarwat in Malaysia for a total of 1.25 million taka. Later on December 22 crocodiles were released into the farm. The imported crocodiles were aged 10-14 years old and crocodiles were 7-12 feet tall.
Later in August 2006, the first two mothers of the farm started collecting crocodile eggs. Gradually, the crocodile lineage grew up to about 800 kilometers on the farm. In October 2009, after receiving the final approval of crocodile exports from the government, Heidel Bird University of Germany was confined to the Crocodile Export Agreement from the Reptiles Farm Limited for the discovery of the body's immune system, especially from the body of Cromer. In 2010, 69 crocodiles exported from Germany to the farm from 300 crocodiles exported to Germany. The remaining 231 crocodiles run the export process in different countries of Europe. In Germany, 69 crores of rupees were sold at the sale of 69 crocodiles and the company saw the profit. At the same time, the name of Bangladesh as a crocodile export country is for the first time.
Criminals have an average life expectancy of 100 years. The imported crocodile currently has 25 big men. Large crocodiles giving eggs to two tonnes of meat each month are given as food. In the wild, at the age of 10/12, and in the farm, a 6-7 year old female crocodile gives 40 to 50 eggs in a year (April-May). It takes 70 to 80 days to cook eggs.
