Its High Time We Rethink Our Relation with Nature
What if you were asked, how much do you appreciate the Mother Nature? What would your answer be? Off course you cannot answer this unless you spend time with it, right? We are so consumed in our glamorous lives full of luxuries that we have almost abandoned the Mother Nature. The consequences are now seen clearly in form of abrupt climate change, extinction of marine and wild life.
To solve a problem, you first need to face the problem. Here is the face of the problem that you need to see before you go save the world.
1- Our Lust for Technology is Killing Mother Nature
If I tell you technology is leaving cumulating impact on environment, it will sound cliché to you. What if I told you other creatures like plants, animals and birds are also gravely affected by it, will you still not care? As we evolved industrially with the passage of time, we’ve created many things for our ease most notably fast transportation. The fuel automobiles use create byproducts that are much harmful for a healthy environment. Such luxuries bring a death note for birds, plants and animals as the environment gets more and more unhealthy and toxic for them to breathe in.
Can you live for just one hour without any gadget? If not, know that technology compromises human health and safety. Rapid technological advancements are also preventing us from enjoying the true beauty and essence of nature as many of the individuals spend their time glued to their pcs or mobile phones, neglecting the gift of Mother Nature. The results of neglecting the cause of destruction can be troublesome in the longer run. Earth is dying a slow death as humans carelessly walk on its surface
2- No Tree, No Breathe
Have you ever thought how would we even breathe if there’s not a single tree around?
It could be a lot of other reasons as well but the increase in population is enhancing the requirement of wood. Since wood is acquired from trees, which by the way are responsible for creating oxygen for us humans, we start cutting them into pieces. The destruction of trees to create man-made resources damage the natural environment and destroys animal habitat, and has a negative impact as far as the ecosystem is concerned.
3- The Deliberate Ignorance That Will Turn out to be A Suicide Mission
A lot of us pay no heed to the environment cleanliness but the truth of the matter is, our ignorance is putting a lot of creatures’ lives on stake. Do you know to what extend clean water and air, less and less noise is significant for the life of creatures under water? The way we dispose waste in the water is hazardous to the environment via water pollution. Our irresponsible behavior is taking a lot of innocent lives under water. A lot of species of water creature has already gone extinct because of it.
4- We Will Have to Pay for Polluting Our Own Ecosyststem
Our love for activities such as deforesting and extensive farming is lead to changes in the lifecycles that maintain a healthy ecosystem. We mindlessly destruct the gift of nature and take no step in stopping the prevailing disasters. Sadly, we prefer futuristic gadgets over taking care of Mother Nature. This is disturbing the ecological systems leading to the collapse of wildlife.
5- Is a thing of Beauty a Joy Forever of Real?
John Keats said a thing of beauty is a joy forever but alas instead of learning a lesson from him we stray further away from the true blessings of nature. Technology has taken over the entire globe by storm. We show little to no interest in enjoying the vibes of Mother Nature as we are too busy indulged in a world of gadgets.
These so-called gadgets have distracted every individual and made them lose interest in enjoying peace spread in nature. Technology has revolutionized mankind but in a negative aspect. It’s saddening to see how we prefer indoor games instead of enjoying the great outdoors. We need to bear in mind the horrible consequences this could lead to and we need to act upon our instinct before it’s too late.
6- It’s Time We Should ban Wars
Wars are slowly killing our planet as we know it. The aftereffect of wars can result in habitat destruction, and mentally tortured refugees and a catastrophic condition of the environment.
Have you ever thought what good it can bring if we spend the budget on the wellbeing of climate that we do on wars? Wars traumatizes the environment and every single living being related. The impact caused by wars have long lasting effects on the eco system, especially on the mental health of innocent creatures.
7- Cleanliness is Essential
If you care about your surroundings, keep it clean. Regular maintenance is mandatory to keep the environment healthy. If only us humans realize the horrible drawbacks of our actions, we would likely act upon our instinct to fix the already degrading environment through possible means.
Let’s start a new day by keeping things around us clean and make this world a better place for us and other species to breathe in.
8- Consequences of Chemicals
You definitely know the use of inorganic fertilizers gives temporary benefits to soil but are you also aware of the harms it brings to the soil? Inorganic fertilizers cause an excess of chemicals in soil, thus lowers the soil’s ability to hold nutrients which are necessary for the growth of plants.
You must have realized by now how significant it is for us to take care of the environment. We need to rebuild our trust with nature by preventing further damage through either recycling, or properly disposing of the unneeded material.
We also need to increase plantation in order to prevent an excess of greenhouse gases. Let’s not ditch Mother Nature anymore!
Great article.
A big problem is that we don't view ourself as animals....somehow we have convinced ourselves that we are separate from nature and humans are not connected to everything else...it's an intricate ecosystem.
Technology is a two-edged sword as it has has a harmful effect on nature but is also the only thing that can heal the earth and us in the process.
That is so correct my friend, well said. We just have to rethink our priorities.
