Another possibility is that 'they' are changing our memories through some kind of mind control tech. Considering the vast $$ invested into these MK Ultra techs and the insane manipulators at the top the the pyramid, this seems like a more logical conclusion than changes in the fabric of space/time, or whatever model you use for the physical world. I saw the original Star Wars at the theater while sitting on my Dad's lap b/c he got the last ticket. C3PO is all gold; no silver foot....EVER !
