In Kansas there is one clinic for the entire state. State regulations passed by Republicans required that clinics performing abortions adhere to the same requirements of a standard hospital. This imposed an undue burden for the clinics and they had to shut down. In addition the clinics we given a short notice of the regulations and none of them were able to make the changes in time.
