It made me smile to get your letter. One of the reasons I don't write much is that my handwriting is pretty terrible :) It is a dying art and it's good to see you are still doing it.
When I was a little girl, every year at christmas I would receive as a gift the most beautiful stationary. Beautiful notelet cards and pastel coloured paper and matching envelopes and such things, specifically for writing letters to people. It would always be one of my favourite gifts.
It's sad to wonder if anyone even makes such beautiful things anymore.
