Being different doesn't make you a loser but a noticeable figure worth emulating
Being different means to be unusual, not the same, exhibiting a difference, unlike most others. The reason why most people run away from the word "DIFFERENT", is because of what other people thinks about it. They consider being different as being a freak, loser, lunatic, infamous, forgetting the fact that being different makes you noticeable
whether negatively or positively and it gives you a tag. At first, it might not be a good tag but with time, you will notice that the tag, is what singles you out from others, and that same tag might end up bringing one or two good opportunities your way because, people with good insight, will consider you being different as being creative.
let me take myself for example
~During the steemcamp pre-camp, I didn't socialised much because I don't know how to. I only did what I know how to do best which was, answering questions during the test section, i made it known to them that I knew the answers to almost all the questions that were asked. But that didn't make me popular instead, it gave the others the impression that I was a show off.
Me being the only "Stephanie" in camp didn't make me noticeable either. What made me noticeable is what others might consider as a stupid reason , which was my weavon colour( i was the only one in camp with such weavon colour),
but funny enough, that was what made me noticeable and it also gave me a tag titled "the girl with the red weavon"( this was how I was described by those who doesn't know me and how i described myself to those who doesn't know me by name).
What am trying to say in essence is that, being different, for a start might be tiring and discouraging because of haters and anti-fans, But ignoring them will do you great good because someday in your life, they will come to celebrate you for being you.
Some steps to being different
~Always learn to be yourself and not someone else,
~let your everyday thoughts be "what can I do that no one has ever thought of doing before".
~Build your life with your own blueprint and not with someone else's blueprint: Learn to make your own policies in life and not copy others.
~The only thing that should be copied from your role model is the good parts so as to enable you use it to perfect your own good parts.
NOTE
Being different doesn't make you a loser,
it only shows how creative you are because, at that moment, you are the only one found doing that particular thing that you are doing. Though, you will always encounter haters but that is how you will always encounter people with good insight.
I like different. Much more interesting. Good for you. I found you through the #payitforward contest. You were featured by @stever82. Congratulations and best wishes.
Thanks alot
Being alone sometimes makes think well. Most times isolating yourself is the best
Nice one
Good Message in your story.
Thanks alot sir, i really appreciate
Wanted to let you know that @stever82 featured your post in their Entry to Week 18 of the Pay It Forward Curation Contest.
So while I enjoyed your message I kept getting hung up on your use of images that you don't have the rights to use. As a newer blogger I'm going to guess nobody has told you that just because you link to a source doesn't give you the right to use an image. The person who created those images owns the rights and on a few of them you are using ones from sites that make their living by selling those rights...trust me don't piss them off by stealing their content. They have a legal team on staff to deal with people that steal their images.
To use an image freely look for ones that allow this or create your own. CC0 is a license that allows you to use an image freely for personal or Commercial use without payment or even attribution. But on Steemit it's best to give the attribution as some get funny about it. The most common place to look is pixabay.com.
If you find images that are free to use make sure they allow for commercial usage as you are putting your blog out there to be paid on it making it commercial.
Hope you understand this information is to help you stay legal and blog in a responsible way. There are many out there that will flag you without taking the time to teach first. Hope this helps you avoid that.
That was quick of you to notice that! I didn't until I read your comment. Keen eyes!
And I read your comment because I noticed it's too long that I wondered what it is all about. 😀
Honestly think that this might be one the things that gets more newbies in trouble then anything. You get on a list like steemcleaners and they flag you big time and there are other accounts too. It's a pretty common mistake assuming that if you link to the source you can use photos but they are protected by copyright law.
I always notice these things...can't help myself. When it's a cut/paste article I flag it and those are pretty obvious most of the time as the average person just doesn't write like a professional. Plus so many steemit users are ESL that when they write flawless English with big words that people don't use daily it's a big red flag and it gets checked out.
Now that is one thing I learn now to be a good curator: notice any irregularity and feed it back. 😊
Thanks for the headsup. I will have to be more careful next time
Very nice post, thanks. I have always been the black sheep in my family so I guess I have that part covered. Eh eh! 😂😂😂
I have come across your post after reading @stever82's entry for the Pay It Forward Contest
Thanks
Hi, I found you because you were featured in this weeks @pifc contest by @stever82. Great message it really is the unique personalities that stand out in memory. I am pretty much the odd ball myself.
Thanks dear
Everyone is unique in our own ways so yes, we stand out among the rest.
There is a saying that goes "if you can't beat them, join them." But there have been times when I can not stomach joining them so I made my own version of the saying which I posted on a previous blog.
"If you can't beat them, you don't have to join them.
Get out and set your own mark!" 😊
Keep blogging... just keep in mind @pifc's reminder about using licensed photos out there.
Thanks for the heads up. I really appreciate
No worries. Check if you still have the edit option for your post. If you do, edit it and remove the licensed photos while you still have the chance.
