A trek through the forest in Virginia
It's a beautiful day! I'm in Virginia Beach, Virginia visiting some friends and we decided to go Hiking!!
This national wildlife park is called First Landing. Originally named Seashore State Park back in the day it caters as a lovely park to hike for locals.
Being under sea level it's a very flat trail with ponds and swamps nearby.
Lots of moss grow on the trees here giving it a cool spooky feeling especially in the Fall!
Overall First Landing is an amazing park and great for runners. The tall trees block out the sun keeping the temps nice and cool. It's a very calm park and the locals and visitors are very friendly. This walk was very calming and felt amazing after I got finished. I ended up hiking 8 miles and finished my hydration pak. Something about nature leaves me fulfilled at the end of the day.
