Life's Road-A poem
Life's road is never straight
It's like a long wiggling train full of freight
So many curves,so many bends
Sometimes lined with foes,sometimes friends
Sometimes dry and full of dust
Like a worn-out bridge,eaten by rust
Sometimes wet and heavy with mud
When the rains have come, the trees about to bud
In every corner,in every curve
In every little quiet turf
Always waiting a neat surprise
Complete with wonder and life's dark prize
The road is long and beyond the eye
In the blue, blue distance it meets the sky
It wears our shoes down the sole
But our hearts are tough as indeed our soul
Sewn together by a thread of bridges
With their solid steel and range of ridges
Life's road is never at rest
Down one moment and up the next.
