My wife read me her horoscope and our daughter cracked us up with a joke!
We have a daughter of eight years old and there's never any moment during the day when she's around were we can tell each other something without her listening in and becoming part of the conversation. Well, except if she has here headphones on while watching whatever she binge watches on Netflix on her iPad. But otherwise she joins every single conversation.
Today was no different. My wife was reading a magazine and she read me her horoscope and it said:
"There's nothing better than cooking a delicious meal for your loved one and enjoy it together with a nice candlelight and a well filled glass of wine."
I got no chance to respond at all because immediately our daughter responded by saying:
"Well... that's not going to happen because you have kids now."
We both started laughing of course... gotta love kid logic and jokes!

Kids will say the darnedest things at the most inappropriate times too! I remember living through this phase with my four sons. nd you know what? They don't grow out of being smart*sses.

When I read that horoscope, I thought the joke was going to be that she would say: "Well mom, there's the kitchen, go make me that delicious meal. You love me, don't you?"
