I know some steemers have already bought houses and cars with their post earnings. Here is my story why having a bike means lots of luxury to me. I live in Berlin for 4 years now and I have not possessed a bike here. This correlates to some strange kind of anxiety that I had with driving a bike. So for 8 years I was mainly avoiding to cycle for I felt insecure to do it. Some of you know that I went to Amsterdam this year and it was a great place to overcome my fear. After some biking trough the city I also discovered the pleasure of biking at Vondel Park.
Today I bought the bike you can see on the picture. In Berlin bikes get stolen a lot but I hope that this investment of 30 Euros won't attract thieves. Even though winter is coming and I will probably not drive it all the time I just had the urge to get me a bike and I think it was a good thing. Thanks to your support on steemit, I do not have to fear that this investment will bring me into trouble because my income as a cleaner is not very high. I just came back from my first cycling tour through Berlin including Volkspark Friedrichshain which reminded me of good old Vondelpark. Somehow travelling by bike opens a new dimension of movement for me again and it brings back happy childhood memories from the times when I learned to bike.

Ich weiß, dass sich einige Steemer schon Häuser und Autos mit ihren Postverdiensten gekauft haben. Das ist die Geschichte, warum ein Fahrrad zu besitzen für mich einen großen Luxus bedeutet. Ich lebe nun bereits seit 4 Jahren in Berlin und habe hier nie ein Fahrrad besessen. Das hat mit einer eigenartigen Ängstlichkeit zu tun, die ich in Bezug auf das Fahrradfahren entwickelt hatte. Ganze 8 Jahre habe ich das Fahrradfahren nach Möglichkeit vermieden, weil ich mich zu unsicher dabei fühlte. Einige von euch wissen ja bereits, dass ich dieses Jahr nach Amsterdam gereist bin und diese Stadt war ein toller Ort um meine Furcht zu überwinden. Dort habe ich nach einigem Geradel unter anderem auch den Vondelpark entdeckt, wo ich gerne gefahren bin.
Heute habe ich das Fahrrad auf dem Bild gekauft. In Berlin werden Fahrräder sehr häufig gestohlen, aber ich hoffe, dass diese Investition von 30 Euro keine Diebe anzieht. Obwohl der Winter kommt und ich das Rad bestimmt nicht die ganze Zeit nutzen werde, glaube ich, dass die Kaufentscheidung eine gute war. Dank eurer Unterstützung bei steemit muss ich nicht fürchten, dass diese Investition mich in Schwierigkeiten bringen kann, weil mein Einkommen als Putzkraft nicht sehr hoch ist. Ich bin gerade von meiner ersten Radtour durch Berlin zurückgekommen, bei der ich auch den Volkspark Friedrichshain durchfahren habe, der mich an den guten alten Vondelpark erinnert. Irgendwie reist man mit dem Fahrrad eine neue Dimension der Bewegung und es bringt glückliche Kindheitserfahrungen an die Zeit zurück, in der ich gelernt habe zu fahren.
